Swedish innovation is once again taking the global stage—this time through the newly launched Pioneer Prize – the beauty of Swedish innovation. Among the eight companies nominated for the award is Modvion, recognised for its sustainable and scalable wooden wind turbine towers.
A New Award Spotlighting Green Innovation
The Pioneer Prize, an initiative by the Swedish Institute in collaboration with Business Sweden, aims to highlight groundbreaking innovations from small and medium-sized Swedish companies contributing to the green transition. The prize focuses on scalable, forward-thinking solutions that tackle real-world challenges—from climate-friendly packaging to next-generation healthcare technologies.
Public voting is open until May 12, with the winner set to be announced on May 14, Sweden’s National Day, at Expo Osaka. The prize ceremony will coincide with a major Swedish delegation visit led by His Majesty The King of Sweden and Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Benjamin Dousa.
